Authorities are looking for a Columbia man accused of stalking a woman and shooting at a Calhoun County home.
Harrison Brodrick Brown, 32, of 2525 Palmland Drive, is wanted for harassment and discharge of a firearm into a residence.
Brown is accused of “repeatedly texting” the woman on Nov. 18 “with threatening messages, then repeatedly driving past the victim’s father’s house where the victim was, then shooting the gun. a firearm,” according to warrants from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office.
The warrants accuse Brown of sending the following text messages to the woman:
• “Tell your father to move because he is being robbed”
• “He’s making you leave me OK, he’s taking something from me, I’m going to take something from him”
• “I’m not afraid of you f – – – – – – dad, in fact, I’m somewhere else over there f – – – all that”
• “I’m here, you hear me”
• “Come around the corner”
• “It’s time for me to come back, you should be behind me”
The warrants claim that Brown’s alleged remarks, “words and conduct are a pattern serving no legitimate purpose and cause a reasonable person to fear assault or injury.”
An incident report says witnesses heard up to 10 gunshots. Deputies recovered four casings from the roadway near the father’s home in Swansea.
The Columbia Police Department, U.S. Marshal’s Service and Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office attempted to locate Brown at an apartment complex in Columbia on Tuesday. They didn’t find it.
Authorities would like Brown to turn himself in.
He is described as a black man, 6ft 2in tall and weighing around 290lbs.
Brown is considered armed and dangerous, according to the Columbia Police Department.
