Community engagement is the key to success – Office Evolution / The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX – We all lead busy lives with work, family, and other opportunities that holistically nourish us to enrich our lives. As many employees and businesses adjusted to a home office in 2020, there was extra time to devote to our passions. Research shows that the average American worker saved 250 hours in 2020 by not commuting to work. Some of the passions – animal organizations, Homebound Seniors, youth activities, or other nonprofits – were then transferred to the business model as a community engagement program.

Businesses that develop a community engagement program in the region they serve improve morale, teamwork, and communication, while developing a positive relationship with local consumers. Office Evolution, The Woodlands are very involved in the community because they see it as part of doing business.

Phil Anderson, Office Evolution-Conroe / Woodlands (OE) partner said: “We are trying to help local nonprofits with a competition to give them short term office space. This has grown into two of our long-term staying nonprofits for convenience, Bears Etc., and Thrive with Autism Foundation. We support their events in the community, donate funds and volunteer services. It just makes sense.

Other organizations supported by Phil Anderson and OE are the Woodlands Rotary, the Montgomery County Food Bank, the Woodlands YMCA as a participant in the dragon boat races and Reveille, a local weekly networking group that gives back to Meals on Wheels. , veterans’ organizations and human trafficking among others.

“Rotary is a passion of mine because our club sponsors a Rotary House to help patients and families by providing low cost housing while receiving treatment near Woodlands Medical Center. It’s a win-win for me, ”said Anderson. Rotary House serves patients at CHI St. Luke’s Hospital, HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe, MD Anderson Treatment Center, Memorial Hermann Medical Center, Methodist Hospital, The Woodlands, and Texas Children’s Hospital, The Woodlands.
