Federal investigators seized 18 electronic devices during an April raid on the apartment and office of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, a new court case revealed Thursday.

Federal prosecutors raided Giuliani’s Manhattan home and Giuliani Partners LLC office in April as part of a criminal investigation into Giuliani’s transactions in Ukraine.

According to the court file dated April 29, released on Thursday, prosecutors seized 18 electronic devices, including phones and computers, belonging to Giuliani as well as “some employees” of his company. Giuliani’s attorney, Robert Costello, said Reuters in april that a

desktop computer
belonging to Giuliani’s ex-wife and a work laptop belonging to Giuliani’s assistant were among the seized electronic devices

“FBI technical specialists began extracting materials from the seized devices, but examination of the
these materials have not started “, according to the deposit, which was obtained by CNN.

In one interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson following the raid on his home, Giuliani said investigators took “seven or eight of my electronic items” but claimed they did not take the hard drives allegedly belonging to to Hunter Biden.

Biden was under GOP control following a disputed New York Post article about a laptop allegedly owned by him, as well as his role on the board of Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Intelligence experts said they believed the Post’s story had “all the classic features of a Russian information operation.”

In October 2019, prosecutors charged two of Giuliani’s associates, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, with helping to unearth Hunter Biden and his father, Joe Biden, ahead of the 2020 election. Parnas and Fruman were both arrested on charges of campaign finance violations in connection with a conspiracy to funnel foreign money into US elections.

A federal criminal investigation into Giuliani resumed in March and the Justice Department approved the search warrant against Giuliani after Merrick Garland was confirmed as attorney general.
