Hulu, Amazon’s first video bites into Thunderbird Entertainment’s Great Pacific Media scripted comedy-drama Reginald the Vampire

Vancouver, British Columbia–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Great Pacific Media (“GPM”), a division of Thunderbird Entertainment Group Inc. (TSXV: TBRD, OTCQX: THBRF), in conjunction with SYFY, announce that Hulu and Prime Video have picked up a new 10-episode series Reginald the Vampire for their streaming services in selected territories. Additionally, Cineflix Rights, as exclusive global distribution partner, is releasing the series globally and will debut Reginald the Vampire to buyers at MIPTV in April.

Hulu has acquired the US rights to the series’ second window, produced by Thunderbird’s GPM with Modern Story, December Films and Cineflix Studios, which is in its final week of filming and is set to premiere summer on SYFY. Prime Video in Canada secured the streaming rights to the series, as well as Prime Video in Australia for that country and New Zealand.

Cineflix Rights launches Reginald the Vampire in the global market at MIPTV (April 4-6, 2022), where series star Jacob Batalon will also make an appearance to support the launch.

Based on Fat Vampire by Johnny B. Truant novels, the 10-episode comedy-tinged drama, directed by Batalon (Spider-Man: No Coming Home) as Reginald, upends traditional vampire tropes while draining the blood of modern beauty standards. Newly transformed, Reginald crashes into a world populated by handsome, fit, and vain vampires, where he overcomes obstacles not limited to: a bullying boss, falling in love with a human girl he cannot have, and a vampire leader who wants him dead. Luckily, Reginald discovers he has a few powers of his own.
